Job description

NiSource is hosting an Open Interview Day for IT Business Analysts in the Columbus, OH area. You will have the opportunity to come learn more about the IT department at NiSource, meet our IT Leadership Team, network with some of our current IT Business Analysts, and get an opportunity for on the spot interviews.

The Cyber Security department at NiSource ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NiSource assets to achieve the company mission. This team performs various measures to protect the company with a wide range of technologies to combat the latest threats in an ever-evolving landscape.

This team performs incident response, cybersecurity education, awareness, and guidance. The department is also responsible for managing policies that govern data permissions and how information is accessed and secured. We also oversee the automated and manual provisioning and de-provisioning of access to data and data repositories.

As the Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NiSource assets to achieve our company mission. Our team utilizes a wide range of technologies to combat the latest threats in an ever-evolving landscape, and we perform incident response, cybersecurity education, awareness, and guidance.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

  • Collaborating with incident response team members to perform digital forensics investigations and malware analysis
  • Developing and implementing security engineering solutions to protect company assets against a wide range of cyber threats
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Implementing SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) solutions to automate incident response processes
  • Managing email security and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) tools to protect sensitive information and intellectual property
  • Participating in security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in incident response, security engineering, vulnerability management, or related cybersecurity field
  • Experience with SOAR, email security, DLP, and digital forensics tools and techniques
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP or GIAC
  • Experience with NERC CIP or other energy industry regulations
  • Experience leading security engineering or incident response teams
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and metrics
