Description :

Enjoy working while doing what you love! The Granite YMCA Allard Center is currently seeking a Tennis Instructor for our indoor tennis programs.

The Tennis Instructor shall assist the Tennis Director in performing all duties relative to the teaching, coordination, supervision, management and evaluation of tennis lessons, court time and special events. The preferred candidate must be knowledgeable of the game and have the ability to connect with youth. Bring your passion to our Mission!

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging tennis lesson plans tailored to different skill levels.
Instruct students on proper techniques, strategies, and rules of tennis.
Organize and lead group clinics, private lessons, and tennis camps.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork.
Collaborate with other instructors to create a well-rounded physical education program.
Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the tennis courts.
Participate in health club events to promote tennis programs.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Tennis Instructor or in a similar role is preferred.

Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, rules, and strategies.

Experience working with students in various settings; teaching physical education is a plus.

Background in other sports such as cheerleading, karate, judo, basketball, or climbing is advantageous.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Certification in CPR / First Aid is preferred but not required
