The Public Relations Intern will support the company’s communication strategies, working closely with teams to enhance corporate reputation, amplify employer brand, and tell compelling business stories. This role is ideal for a self-motivated student or recent graduate passionate about PR, media relations, and workforce trends.

Key Competencies & Responsibilities

• Exceptional Writing & Editing:
  Draft, proofread, and edit press releases, internal communications, media pitches, and other content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice.
• Interest in Corporate Communications & Media Relations:
  Help manage media lists, monitor coverage, and support outreach to journalists and influencers; contribute ideas to increase positive company visibility.
• Business Storytelling & Employer Branding Curiosity:
  Research and help communicate workforce trends, employer value proposition, and business updates that resonate with internal and external audiences.
• Task & Project Management:
  Organize assignments, juggle competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines—both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  Work with internal stakeholders from different departments to gather insights, ensure message consistency, and support integrated communication projects.
• Adaptability & Initiative:
  Take ownership of assignments, proactively seek feedback, and adjust approach as needed in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program (or equivalent) with a business-focused degree (e.g., economics, finance, accounting, business analytics, human resources, etc.)
• Highly motivated and adaptable, with a curiosity to learn real-world business and financial concepts
• Self-driven, resourceful, independent, and willing to take initiative
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative style to working 1:1 or as a team
• Basic project management and research capability
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and high technical learning agility
• Can maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Must be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in Michigan – sponsorship and relocation / housing are not offered with these positions

Base pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. Final hourly compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
