Description
A postdoctoral opening is immediately available in the Zerra Lab in the Department of Pathology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Our lab studies the initiating immune events in the response to blood-borne therapeutics, including red blood cells and factor VIII, using a combination of pre-clinical mouse models and patient samples. The underlying goal is to identify novel targets for the prevention of antibody development against these therapeutics to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated scientist with a Ph.D. and / or M.D. with an interest in hematology and / or transfusion medicine, a strong background in immunology and the ability to work well both independently and with others on a team.
