Rehab Aide with CNA License
The Medication distributor is responsible for the security of all medications with medication manager supervisory. Medication distributor includes monitoring, reconciling medications, and ensuring clients get the desired outcomes. This person would give out proper meds to clients. The Treatment Assistant / Rehab Aide will provide transportation to incoming residents or other transportation as authorized by the Clinical Director. Other responsibilities may be monitoring medication administration, assessing conflict situations with residents, providing medication, and contacting supervisors as needed. The Treatment Assistant will follow policies and procedures, all rules and instructions regarding the therapeutic milieu and routines.
Essential Duties and responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Enters client information into computer.
- Compiles data for occupancy and census records in the Medication’s Department.
- Verifies the clients’ medications prior to dispensation with the clients and the proper dosages and the proper medication.
- Monitors the dispensation, storage, and destruction of medications; maintains records and logs of medications as per State Regulations, Company Policies and Doctor orders.
- Understands and enforces Company Policies and Procedures and State Regulations.
- Understands all emergency protocols, responds to emergencies.
- Maintains Med Room in compliance with Infection Control and Standard Precautions Policies with emphasis on proper Biohazard Waste / Sharps Management and Disposal under meds manager.
- Immediately reports client changes in condition to care managers and addiction counselors.
- Check in with prior staff for any resident report and receive any added assignments.
- Supervise resident AM / PM care (medication disbursement, medication intake and medication recording (MAR)
- Maintain resident’s schedule for shift.
o Asleep until 5 : 30a.m.
o Awaken by 7 : 00 a.m.
By 7 : 30 a.m. breakfast is to be made and available for service for residentsObserve and assure adherence to all house rulesAssist with urine drug screen when directed to do so. Assist with paperwork of urine testsComplete room searches when requested by Clinical DirectorReport any resident needs or requests to oncoming shift staffReorient residents to their responsibilities when necessaryMaintain a professional relationship with residentsReport any disruptive behavior or violations that occur during your shift in the daily logCommunicate any concerns to oncoming staff your fellow staff members is a vital part of this positionRoom checks are to be done every 2 hours unless there is reason to believe that they need to be done more oftenNo resident is to be outside past 10 : 00 p.m. on weekdays and 11 : 00 p.m. on weekendsNo resident is to be outside until 5 : 30 a.m. (Allowed outside between 5 : 30 a.m. and 10 : 00 p.m.)The TA person is never to leave the property during working hours unless there is someone to oversee his / her responsibilities.In the case of a medical emergency 911 is to be called. Staff are to oversee the assistance to the residents until such time as the EMT is in control of the situation.Other residents are never allowed to leave the premises with the afflicted residents. Treatment Assistants will be expected to have flexible hours that meet client scheduling needs. The scheduling of staff meetings and training meetings may necessitate variations in schedules. Permanent changes in an employee’s work schedule will be provided to the employee in writing with an explanation why the change was made. Scheduling is the responsibility of the employer and will be based on the needs of the people served by the agency.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include making sure meds are given to correct clients with correct dosage and medications, observing, storing, and keeping track of medications.Observe work environment for potential injury hazards and take appropriate preventative safety precautions.Able to read and write reports, business correspondence, memos and staff performance evaluations.Qualifications
