LocumJobsNetwork is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Cardiothoracic Surgery PA in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106!

About The Position

We are seeking a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in New Mexico starting Dec 1, 2025. This 30-day opportunity offers a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule, working Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in a clinic setting with call duties to be determined.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide clinical care for patients requiring cardiovascular and thoracic surgical services
  • Support surgeons in operating room procedures as appropriate to licensure
  • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations
  • Manage patient care in the clinic setting
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards

  • Must hold an active New Mexico license
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Board certification not required for this role
