Registered Nurse ( RN ) PACU-Recovery

Department / Unit Summary

• Monday - Friday position, with limited weekend requirements.
• Limited call - one night call every other week, and one weekend call rotating through entire department (usually works out to be every 10-12 weeks).
• Phase 1 recovery - recover patient for 30 minutes to one hour (depending on type of anesthesia given), then send to Phase 2 and give hand off to another nurse.
• Phase 2 recovery - go over discharge paperwork with family member, give patient snack and medicine. Free to discharge if they meet requirements.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate orbachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
