About the Role

We’re seeking an On-Demand RV Mechanic / Certified Service Technician to support our operations team in Austin, TX and surrounding areas . This is a part-time, flexible, contractor role where you will be called in as needed for inspections, repairs, and emergency fixes on our fleet of motorhomes and trailers.

The ideal candidate is RVIA or RVTI certified (Level 2–4), with strong experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role is perfect for technicians who prefer flexible work, project-based jobs, and competitive pay per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair RV systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, propane, chassis).

Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls.

Install and repair accessories (appliances, awnings, solar panels, generators).

Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Coordinate with Camphost operations team to prioritize urgent jobs.

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience as an RV Mechanic / RV Technician .

Certification required : RVTI (Level 2–4) or RVIA equivalent is a HUGE PLUS.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage on-demand scheduling.

Must be based in Austin, TX or nearby areas with reliable transportation.

Compensation

Hourly Rate : $120–$180 per hour (based on experience and certification level).

Flexible, project-based work with potential for long-term collaboration.

Tools, parts, and equipment costs reimbursed (per agreement).
