Description :

Unit has a bed capacity of 32.

The unit consists of 40 employees, including directors, managers, charge nurses, staff RNs, LVNs, nurse aides, and unit secretaries.

During the day shift, there are 3-5 staff nurses depending on the census.

The night shift also has 3-5 staff nurses based on the census.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 6-7 patients per nurse, with 2-3 nurses on duty depending on the census.

Equipment includes PCA pumps, IV pumps, and electronic medical records.

Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role.

Candidates with surgical experience will be prioritized.

Bilingual applicants are preferred but not required.

Typical procedures performed on this unit include admissions, discharges, transfers, wound care, IVs, blood administration, specimen collection, and medication administration.

Scrub color is royal blue.

Only scrub jackets in white or royal blue are permitted.

No outside jackets are allowed.

The unit has achieved over 500 days free of CAUTIs, CLABSIs, and pressure ulcers.

This unit was recognized as a Unit of Distinction in 2017.

New equipment and technology contribute to an enhanced work environment.
