Minimum Qualifications : Education : Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary Experience : - Minimum 3 years of pediatric experience required NICU experience (Level III or IV) : Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience required (can include float / cross-cover) Previous travel experience required Licensure & Certification Requirements Licensure : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required Certifications : - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Preferred Qualifications - NPS (Neonatal / Pediatric Specialty) certification Additional Unit-Specific Information - Environment : Small unit with a broad skill mix, ranging from seasoned staff to new grads - NICU Capability : Up to 6 ventilated patients - Collaboration : Strong multidisciplinary teamwork required - Best Fit Traveler : - Pediatric experience - Comfortable floating and supporting where needed - Former pediatric hospital experience - Team player with teaching willingness (RRT students) - Variable weekend requirements to fill staffing needs. May be asked to move shifts to cover needs as well.
