Position : Technical Program Manager - Autonomous Vehicles
Location : Santa Clara, CA
Pay Rate : $75–$85 / hour
Contract : 12 months + extensions
About the Role
We are seeking a creative and experienced Program Manager to help bring an autonomous vehicle platform to market. This role is part of a focused effort to productize groundbreaking solutions that will redefine transportation and accelerate the future of self-driving cars.
You will collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into an autonomous software platform, ensuring compliance with automotive standards. This is an opportunity to work on exciting, meaningful projects with real-world impact.
Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, schedules, risks, and interdependencies across hardware, software, and validation teams.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering leads to define requirements, success metrics, and deliverables
- Establish program governance frameworks and tracking mechanisms for milestones, budgets, and resources.
- Drive alignment across multiple teams, including vehicle integration and testing
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate technical progress, blockers, and trade-offs effectively to executives and stakeholders.
Qualifications
BS / MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).5-8 years of recent Program / Project Management experience in software engineering projects and commercial product releases.Proven track record of successful releases with short release cadences in dynamic environments.Strong ability to lead scalable programs and drive process improvementsExperience evaluating and adopting new workflows in large organizations.Preferred Skills
Automotive system integration and / or autonomous vehicle operations experience.Background in data-driven operations and defining / managing operational metrics.Experience leading global projects across time zonesFamiliarity with early-stage development and building processes / tooling.
