Unit Beds : 12

Patient Ratio : 4 : 1

EMR : MedHost

Scope of Role :

Provide nursing care to patients of all ages presenting to the ER in a Level III trauma center, ACC Chest Pain / STEMI center, and Joint Commission Acute Ready Stroke Center. Accountable for clinical assessment, interventions, and coordination of care for emergency patients.

Requirements :

1+ years ED RN experience in a hospital setting

Minimum of 2 previously completed travel assignments

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC

Strong ED experience

Drip titration and ventilator management experience

Preceptor or charge experience preferred

Responsibilities :

Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in patient care

Delegate and supervise staff assignments effectively

Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
