How This Role Makes a Difference
The Registered Dietician (RD) position delivers strong customer experience for both sites and patients by providing remote study support under the delegation of a PI. The RD is responsible for assessing nutritional needs, promoting healthy physical activity, and providing personalized Lifestyle Counseling to optimize nutritional status during pharmacotherapy. This position is a remote, full-time role.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Ability to understand and follow institutional SOPs
- Review and assess protocol (including amendments) for clarity, logistical feasibility
- Ensure that all training and study requirements are met prior to trial conduct
- Work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator(s), while exercising excellent clinical judgment in patient monitoring and care
- Timely communications with internal teams, investigators, review boards, and study subjects
- Perform protocol mandated visits which may include providing personalized Lifestyle Management Counseling, including setting goals for patients based on their background, ethnicity, and / or economical needs and amending as needed per protocol guidelines.
- Provide helpful materials to assist patients in being successful in achieving their nutritional and physical activity goals
- Attend remote, video assisted protocol visits, including reviewing applicable study logs, collecting AE / Concomitant Medication changes, and completing eSource
- Perform patient diet, nutritional education, including the relationship between good eating habits
- Schedule study visits with study participants, within protocol window
- Prepare documentation ahead of appointment; ensure study participant files and source documents are ready for their visit
- Participate and implement quality improvement projects
- Additional duties / responsibilities may be assigned as needed
The Expertise Required
Excellent working knowledge of medical and research terminologyExcellent working knowledge of federal regulations, good clinical practices (GCP)Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.Strong organizational, prioritization and leadership skills and capabilities with a strong attention to detailStrong computer skills with demonstrated abilities using clinical trials database, IVR systems, electronic data capture, MS word and excel.Critical thinker and problem solverFriendly, outgoing personality; maintain a positive attitude under pressure.High level of self-motivation and energyExcellent professional writing and communication skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Certifications / Licenses, Education, and Experience :
Registered and / or Licensed Dietician required, from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).BS in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related subject / MS preferredMinimum 2 years of community nutrition experience.Minimum 1 year Clinical Research experience.Demonstrates leadership and decision-making capabilities.Spanish bilingual preferredHow We Work Together
Location : Remote within the United States. This role requires 100% of work to be performed in a remote office environment.Travel : This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements.
