Neurology Physician

New Job Details

Location : 1 hour from New Orleans

Duration : January July 2025 (potential for extension)

Schedule : 1-3 weeks per month

Shift : Mon Fri, 8a-4.30p

Call : Very low call volume - possibility of zero calls and zero consults

• Weekday call Monday Friday + 1 weekend per month
• NP taking primary call. 24 hours to respond to hospital consults. Clinic call ends at 8pm on weekdays. Weekends are 24 hour call for stat consults.

Patient volume : average 20 patients per day

Scope : General Neurology with an inpatient rounding component - EEG, EMG and Nerve Conduction Study abilities preferred.

EMR : EPIC

Hospital : level 3 trauma center

Group / support : 1 NP, 1 Clinical support staff per provider (currently 1 LPN and 1 MA for 2 providers), 1.5 Patient access (non-clinical) staff. The clinic shares a centralized front desk for patient check in and management of clinic visitors

Requirements (boards, license) : Board certified or board eligible, active Louisiana or compact license
