As the Electric Power Generation Engineer, supporting our active contract with the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area, you will support and be an intergral part of the design and development of the COLUMBIA Class submarine's IPS (Integrated Power System) electrical system. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

The NAVSEA 05Z5 Directorate is responsible for the design and development of the COLUMBIA class Integrated Power System that provides power distribution and propulsion for the future ballistic missile submarines, and the design of a new turbine generator to generate all electrical power. They work with directly with the shipbuilder for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating all resources required for the design, construction, and Test and Evaluation (T&E) of the future submarine's power system. They are also responsible for all of the Turbine Generators for generating electricity for all submarine and CVNs. The future Ballistic Missile Submarine is the nation's top defense priority as the only survivable leg of the nuclear triad.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have :

NAVSEA or submarine experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $97,787.27 to $162,978.79; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education / training, and key skills.
