Job Description

Job Title : MRI Technologist

Experience :

Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.

License :

Valid state license required.

Certifications : BLS (AHA)

Venipuncture Licensure

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT Certification as MR Technologist

Must-Have :

Experience in travel assignments is required.

Description :

Competently performs routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis and treatment.

Works independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.

Delivers accurate results in a timely manner.

Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and their support groups through effective communication.

Adheres to all regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

May be responsible for specific procedures and mentoring other staff.

Skills required include various MRI procedures, preparation and / or administration of contrast media, and radiation safety.

Must be experienced in patient assessment, monitoring, and strong communication skills.

Background checks will be completed prior to employment.

This role requires willingness to work with diverse patient groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

The average daily census is between 30 to 34 studies.

Requires Epic charting system experience.

Must have IV insertion skills.

Only local candidates will be considered at a local rate.
