Alabama State University, College of Science, Technology, engineering and Mathematics, invites applications to fill the position of Instructor of Computer Science. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate computer science courses offered by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The position requires teaching excellence, discipline related scholarly activity, and the ability to remain current in the candidate's filed of expertise. In addition, the selected candidate is expected to effectively advise students and provide services to the university and the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. It is recommended that the applicant has completed at least three academic years of successful teaching experience in an accredited college or university, excluding teaching experience as a graduate assistant.
It is to be noted that for the purpose of continuous improvement of faculty qualifications as faulty members complete advanced degrees, certifications, licenses, etc., the faculty member will send official documentation, within 45 days of hire, to the Office of Human Resources, and the credentialing file in Academic Affairs.
