Adult Spine Neurosurgery Faculty Position
The University of New Mexico School of Medicine Department of Neurosurgery is recruiting a board certified or board eligible, Open Rank, Open Track general neurosurgeon with interest in Adult Spine Neurosurgery, to lead and grow the identified practice. Join our team of 9 established neurosurgeons soon growing to 12, and 2 neurocritical care doctors, currently practicing and teaching neurosurgery residents with the University of New Mexico.
The University of New Mexico is the only tertiary referral Neurosurgical center in the State of 2.3 million people, with a significant need and opportunity to grow and expand an established practice focused on spine trauma. The department has a comprehensive practice focusing on a diverse range of neurological disorders in both pediatric and adult neurosurgery, with a newly re‑established ACGME‑approved residency in 2022. UNM is also the only Level 1 trauma center in the state; participation in the general trauma call pool will be expected.
