Procurement Category Manager

Procurement Category Manager is to acquire machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services essential for the operation of an establishment. This role involves purchasing goods and services for the organization and ensuring that all acquisitions meet the company's quality and cost standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, and availability.
• Approve purchases of high-quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct quantities.
• Approve purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
• Instruct staff on resolving issues related to undelivered goods.
• Guide staff on negotiation, renegotiation, and contract administration with suppliers and vendors.
• Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective actions.
• Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $39.00 / hr.
