Department / Unit Summary : The Division of Hematology and Oncology conducts research and treats all types of adult cancers including solid tumor cancers and hematological (blood) disorders, as well as coagulation disorders and non-cancerous blood diseases. With over 80 faculty members representing a broad range of professional training and expertise, our dedicated team of professionals is committed to cancer care through research to better understand and treat cancers; state-of-the-art patient care and personalized cancer therapy; clinical trials, including Phase I drug development with subsequent Phase II and Phase III testing; training future cancer doctors and researchers; and cancer chemotherapy, pharmacology, and biological therapy with an emphasis on solid tumors.

Shift : Full-Time Day Shift - 6 : 45 am - 7 : 15 pm (three 12-hour shifts / week). Shifts do rotate throughout the week. Note : Set schedules are not available. Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs. All Employees (Night shift & PRN included) employees are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment.

Care Partner Position Qualifications : Required : High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) AND one of the following : Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician. Preferred Qualifications : Flexible availability; Professionalism and reliability; Excellent communication and teamwork skills; High emotional intelligence.
