Must Haves :

High School Diploma with 4 years' experience or 2 years of college and two years relevant experience

Ability to lift forty lbs. with occasional 2 person lifts

Instructions provided by facility manager

Basic computer skills

Maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, etc.)

Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.

Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.

Experience with hand tools.

Ability to work in a team

Strong communication skills

Need to be very detail oriented

Job Description :

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, etc.). Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, drawings, and specifications. Requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations and may require specific trade certifications.

Overall Summary : Developing support individual contributors. Works under general supervision. Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.

Nature of Supervision : Works under general supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided, and moderate peer review is required.

Communication & Influence : Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
