Travel RN – Neuro Progressive Care / Stepdown – Days

Location : Albany, NY

Assignment Length : 13 Weeks

Start Date : 10 / 6 / 2025

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM

Weekends : Every other weekend

Holidays : Rotating

Position Summary :

A facility in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Travel RN for their Neuro Progressive Care / Stepdown Unit . The ideal candidate must have strong neuro-critical care skills and experience managing high-acuity patients.

Responsibilities :

Provide direct patient care for adult neurological and progressive care patients

Monitor complex patients, including those with strokes, neurosurgical procedures, and other neuro-critical conditions

Administer medications, manage drips, and perform other nursing interventions per protocols

Document patient care accurately in Epic

Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and other nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care

Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and unit initiatives

Requirements :

Minimum 2 years of Neuro-Progressive Care / Stepdown or ICU experience

Epic experience required

Ability to work every other weekend and rotating holidays

Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
