As a Vice President in Wholesale Credit Risk in the Consumer Retail and Healthcare team you will play a key role in managing and monitoring client credit exposures across diverse industry classes. You will have the opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and industry knowledge to make impactful credit decisions collaborate with colleagues across teams and help drive innovation and efficiency. Together we support our clients credit needs while balancing the risk-return needs of the firm fostering a culture of compliance and developing junior team members.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures across industry classes
- Take ownership of client credit needs and projects independently developing credit opinions
- Oversee and conduct credit analysis approving or seeking approval for lending and trading transactions
- Provide credit expertise in structuring new loan and derivative transactions
- Lead or assist in negotiating finalizing and executing documentation for loans and derivatives
- Remain current on all aspects of credit relationships including exposure compliance and opportunities
- Review ratings risk assessments portfolios clients and industries in your sector
- Prepare and present quarterly and annual risk reviews and tiering analyses
- Assign risk ratings and maintain updated credit research on your portfolio of clients
- Work with CIB Coverage and Corporate Banking on capital allocation and industry limits
- Manage credit due diligence processes for clients including capital markets transactions
- Coordinate and allocate work across credit deal teams
- Review and approve written credit approval documents including financial analysis and modeling
- Train mentor and develop Analysts and junior team members
- Help drive and support innovation and continuous efficiency improvements
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
Bachelors degree requiredCompletion of a major corporate bank credit training program or equivalent experienceFive years of related experience in credit risk banking or corporate financeExcellent accounting and corporate finance expertiseStrong analytical and financial modeling abilitySolid knowledge of loan and derivative products documentation and structuringExperience negotiating legal documents associated with credit productsOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure in teamsProficiency in Excel PowerPoint and Word softwareExceptional work ethicPreferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
MBA or CFA designationExperience supporting Consumer Retail Healthcare or other industry groups such as Technology Media and Telecommunications Diversified Industries Automotive and Transportation Aerospace and Defense Airlines Natural Resources and EnergyInterest in client interaction and relationship managementExperience preparing and presenting risk reviews and tiering analysesExperience training and mentoring junior team membersDemonstrated ability to drive innovation and efficiency improvementsExperience coordinating work across credit deal teamsRequired Experience :
