Job Title : CT Technologist Profession : CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) Specialty : CT (Computed Tomography) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights Mon-Thurs Hours per Shift : 10 hours Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Required Certifications : BLS, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT), Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have : - Must be able to perform all routine CT exams as well as Trauma - IV skills very helpful for working outpatients Description : Clienttion badge required prior to starting travel assignment. Department operates three scanners. Occasionally, float to X-ray for ED / Inpatient / Outpatient X-ray based on job / shift position. Common types of imaging / studies performed include all routine CT exams for inpatient / outpatient and ED. Additional procedures include Cardiac CT, biopsy / drain, and Cryo / Microwave ablations. Average number of scans / studies is 65-70 in a 24-hour period on three scanners. Department uses Epic for EMR and SECTRA for PACS. Radiologist is on site 24 / 7. Shifts may vary; typically a mix of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts for both days and nights. Assigned shifts and schedule are posted at least two weeks in advance. Weekend requirements vary; may include every weekend or every other weekend based on needs. Holiday work is required if scheduled on a holiday. Call is optional with a response time of 45 minutes. Any color scrubs are acceptable as long as they look professional. Department-specific orientation typically includes the first three days. Hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.
