Operator - First Shift

The Opportunity :

Avantor is looking for an Operator on our Nusil site. This role will be a full-time position based in Carpinteria, CA. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a very diverse team in a phenomenal environment. NuSil is involved in the healthcare, aerospace, and biotech industries. First Shift : M-F, 7 am-3 : 30 pm (Overtime as needed)

Whatwe'relooking for

Education : High School diploma or GEDpreferred.

Experience : 1-2 years of work in packaging or distribution.

Certification(s) : Nonerequired.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in a chemical plant.

Understanding / familiaritywith cGMP and RCRA training.

How you will thrive and create an impact

Carry outsafety precautions.

Responsible for ensuring the lines areset upand running according to the production schedulein accordance withwork orders.

Understand line and pump configurations and be able to clean and inspect lines, as well as perform line changesas needed.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and ensure that items that fail checks are addressed.

Stage and unload railcars and tank trucks.

Take bulk samples from both railcars and tank trucks and deliver to the QC lab.

Take particle count samples and run particle count tests.

Prepare customer trucks to include sealing, sampling, and associated paperwork. Inspect and close MPOs.

Keepaccurateproduction records.

Collaborates with Supervisors and Maintenance Personnel to resolve equipment setup and operational issues.

Collaborate with the QA Department to identify, recognize, and resolve quality issues. Has the authority and responsibility to stop the line andnotify QAof a contamination event.

Ability to perform the duties of both a packaging operator and a material handler.

Handle hazardous and universal waste in accordance with local,state,and federal regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

Demonstrate mechanical ability.

Critical decision-making skills, creativity, and multi-tasking ability.

Pay Transparency :

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$41,200.00 - $68,700.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
