This position will be domiciled at the Office of Probation & Parole Alexandria District in Rapides Parish.

This position serves as the Central Region Reentry Supervisor for the Transition Specialists assigned to the following parishes : Rapides Grant Concordia Avoyelles Caldwell and Tensas.
This position is domiciled at the Alexandria Probation and Parole District and is supervised by the Program Manager located at DOC Headquarters in Baton Rouge.

Minimum Qualifications
Six years of experience in administrative services public health social services or health services; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services public health social services or health services; OR
A bachelors degree plus three years of professional level experience in administrative services public health social services or health services; OR
An advanced degree in a social science field public health counseling social work rehabilitation services business public or health administration or Juris Doctorate plus two years of experience in administrative services public health social services or health services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION :
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Plans coordinates and controls a statewide program element in a program area.
Develops and implements policies and monitoring procedures for the program element.
Conducts studies or special projects.
Revises rules regulations and procedures to comply with changes in law or policy.
Identifies needs for resources and training related to community based services and determines how these needs can be met; develops proposals for meeting the needs.
Writes and submits grant proposals.
Meets with government officials private officials professionals and others on matters regarding the program element.
Trains agency personnel regarding procedures and policies.
Maintains records prepares reports and conducts correspondence relative to the program element assigned.
May direct the work of staff of professional or clerical employees serving as a lead worker or direct supervisor.
Will work with a diverse well-oriented team of consultants who supervise Transition Specialists with extensive experience in their roles.
