Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on night shifts, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting

Care for patients with a range of obstetric health conditions, from simple to complex

Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week

No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius

Provide comprehensive nursing care to an assigned group of Labor & Delivery patients

Monitor, document, and communicate patient responses and changes in treatment

Assist physicians with exams, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments

Administer medications and regulate / monitor intravenous infusions and blood products

Coordinate care with patients, families, and interprofessional team members

Delegation of tasks to support staff as appropriate

Returning travelers may only extend one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying

Requirements

Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required

Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advance Provider or NRP Instructor certification required

Minimum of one year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required

Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
