Our client is in search of a dynamic and seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality systems, ensure product compliance, and drive continuous improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality leadership position and must hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. This role is pivotal in devising strategies to enhance product quality, boost customer satisfaction, and improve operational efficiency. Candidates must have an engineering or technical degree and either a black belt or lean practitioner certification.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the Quality Assurance team in maintaining and enhancing quality systems, procedures, and metrics throughout manufacturing operations.
- Ensure ongoing adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the main contact for customer and third-party audits, corrective actions, and product quality concerns.
- Execute and steer Lean Six Sigma projects to minimize variability, defects, and non-conformities.
- Track quality KPIs, conduct trend analysis, and present findings to senior management.
- Develop, mentor, and train quality staff to improve team performance and engagement.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to address root causes of quality issues using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
- Oversee supplier quality performance and support in qualification and audit activities.
- Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement and operational excellence across the facility.
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and manufacturing floor settings.
- Occasional travel may be required (<20%), including visits to suppliers, customer sites, and outlying facilities. Current passport is necessary.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- LEAN CERTIFICATION of some type
- Proven track record of leading successful quality initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, CAPA, root cause analysis).
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality management.
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems.
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint for document control and collaboration.
- Demonstrated success leading Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards or compliance requirements.
