How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures by accurately positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical/exposure factors, administering contrast media within scope, and producing high‑quality images for physician interpretation.
• Ensure patient safety and care by preparing patients, monitoring them during procedures, observing for and reporting abnormal activity, and minimizing unnecessary radiation exposure in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain image quality and compliance by ensuring timely and accurate submission of images and documentation to PACS, verifying correct patient data and markers, and following established protocols while recommending improvements as needed.
• Support equipment and department operations by ensuring imaging equipment is functioning properly, reporting and locking/tagging out malfunctioning equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Limited Radiology Technician credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted. Temporary ARRT license allowed in lieu of permanent license.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
