Job description

A leading healthcare facility in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support their Outpatient Surgical Oncology team for a 4-month assignment . This role will provide clinical coverage while the facility recruits permanent staff.

About the Opportunity :

  • Location : Central New Jersey
  • Schedule : Monday-Friday, days only
  • On-Call : None
  • Setting : Outpatient Surgical Oncology (office-based)
  • Duration : 4 months, potential to extend
  • Team : 2 physicians and 1-2 APPs on site with support staff
  • Licensure : Active NJ license required (CDS / DEA may be pending)

Responsibilities :

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for :

  • Providing outpatient support to the surgical oncology team
  • Managing pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Conducting evaluations and follow-ups
  • Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in EMR

    • Qualifications :

  • Active New Jersey license required
  • CDS / DEA preferred (may be pending at start)
  • Minimum 2 years of surgical or oncology experience preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    • Desired Skills :

  • Experience in surgical or oncology settings
  • Excellent clinical and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
