Travel RN Job Details

Location : Elko, NV 89801 (Nevada nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 26 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Med / Surg, Telemetry, Pediatrics

Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00 – 07 : 00), variable weekends

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,780 - $1,910

Patient Population : Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric

Unit Size : 23 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio 1 : 5

Electronic Health Record : MEDHOST

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nevada or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg and / or Telemetry nursing experience

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN)

Current ACLS and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain within 60 / 90 days of start)

Ability to float to other hospital departments as needed

Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel nurse

RN Job Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to diverse patient populations in Med / Surg, Telemetry, and Pediatric units

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using advanced clinical equipment (Omnicell, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Telemetry)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, clinical standards, and Joint Commission accreditation requirements

Float to other departments as needed based on census and hospital needs
