Project Manager

Job Title: Construction Project ManagerJob Description
This role involves managing construction projects by utilizing resources across various sister companies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing concrete projects and exhibit a partnership approach combined with strong project management skills. The focus is on managing the full project life cycle from pre-construction phases to completion, specifically within horizontal construction and earthworks/underground projects.
Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects in collaboration with architects, engineers, field staff, owners, and subcontractors.
• Communicate with clients and design teams to resolve issues and expedite construction work.
• Estimate project costs, including quantity takeoffs and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop and manage project schedules.
• Track and manage RFIs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project bidding and buyout processes.
• Manage project budgets and financial performance.
• Coordinate field supervision and subcontractor activities.
• Review project estimates with operations teams to ensure logistical and site considerations.
• Support safety initiatives while on job sites.

Essential Skills

• Project management experience in construction, civil engineering, roadway, concrete, and piping.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in structural, flatwork, and/or site concrete construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong collaboration skills with architects and engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of alternative delivery projects is a plus.
• Prevailing wage experience is a bonus.
• Hands-on construction experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Work Environment
The work environment includes an office setting in Lenexa with site visits within the Kansas City metro area and occasional regional travel. The company is a growing affiliate of a well-established firm, offering significant opportunities for upward growth.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $55.00/hr.
