Overview

A children's hospital in Texas is excited to welcome a fellowship-trained pediatric urologist to their program. The incoming physician will join a dedicated health care system that provides services to over 2.5 million people. This is the largest multi-specialty group in the southwest region of Texas with a long history serving the local community. Other pediatric specialties include GI, Orthopedics, Pulmonology, and General Surgery. The Children’s Hospital offers pediatric anesthesia and pediatric radiology coverage. Multiple Da Vinci robots are available, including a Series 5 coming soon. This network is committed to providing quality pediatric services in a compassionate, yet progressive environment.

  • 480 total beds : 130 pediatric beds, 14–16 bed PICU, 18-bed NICU (Level IV)
  • New equipment and technology, including 4 da Vinci robots, with a Series 5 coming soon

Position Highlights

  • The position exists due to replacement; it is a turn-key operation
  • Medical Directorship potential – depending upon experience
  • Academic affiliation with medical school, clinical professorship available, and opportunity for teaching and research if desired
  • Willingness to provide mid-level support, fully staffed with MAs and PAs

  • 3 clinic days / 2 OR days per week (OR Block time available)
  • Variety of interesting and complicated cases; grateful patient base
  • Clinic is steps from the hospital; urodynamics available in office
  • 10-15 days / month; light workload, covers one hospital, earn call pay

  • 2-year salary guarantee; potential to reach MGMA 75th percentile in the first year
