Overview
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong engineering foundation to lead and deliver complex programs within the medical device industry. This role requires proven expertise in managing multiple products concurrently, combining both hardware and software program management, and providing leadership to program managers within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple medical device programs (Class II and / or Class III), ensuring timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards are met.
- Manage and mentor a team of program managers, providing leadership, direction, and career development.
- Coordinate across engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and business teams to drive successful program outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and launching at least 4 products simultaneously.
- Balance and integrate both hardware and software program requirements into cohesive project plans.
- Act as a key liaison with stakeholders, ensuring transparency, risk management, and clear communication of program status.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the program management team.
Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (advanced degree preferred).10+ years of professional experience, beginning as an engineer before transitioning into program management.Demonstrated experience managing at least 4 products concurrently in the medical device industry (Class II or Class III).Proven leadership experience with direct reports (managing at least 2 program managers simultaneously).Strong background managing programs that integrate both hardware and software components.Nice to Haves
Experience in IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) programs.Advanced project / program management certifications (PMP, PgMP, etc.).Familiarity with international regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, EU MDR).Benefits
