Job descriptionGraduate or undergraduate degree. Other skills required : Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Interest in healthcare and healthcare law preferred. Highly organized, aggressive, outgoing, and detail-oriented. Clear, concise, and logical writing style. Highly attentive to detail. Be able to handle large amounts of paperwork for a busy office. Must have excellent organizational skills. Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Attendance / Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time. SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for gaining hands-on experience within a boutique law firm specializing in healthcare law; working under pressure and is a team player.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Follows up on administrative appeals and documentation submitted to health insurers and governmental payers.
- Works well with attorneys and paralegals.
- Maintains workload.
- Updates and maintains records.
- Ensures compliance with procedures.
- Maintains professional growth and development.
- Is skilled, aggressive, cordial, and professional on the telephone to follow up on submitted appeals.
- Performs any other administrative duties as may be necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
