A leading private equity firm focusing on bootstrapped, founder‑led technology and technology‑enabled services businesses is seeking candidates for investment team positions, both Associate and Senior Associate. This role offers a rare opportunity to gain direct investing experience in a lean, entrepreneurial environment, working closely with senior professionals across all stages of the investment lifecycle, from sourcing through portfolio management.
Associates are deeply involved in investment origination, evaluation, and execution. The role includes developing thematic investment theses, sourcing and screening new opportunities, conducting detailed financial and market diligence, building comprehensive financial models, and engaging directly with founders and management teams. This position is ideal for individuals who are intellectually curious, analytically strong, and committed to building a long‑term career in private equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate new investment opportunities by developing market theses, mapping sub‑sectors within software and tech‑enabled services, and building relationships with founders and executives.
- Conduct rigorous financial, market, and operational due diligence, including detailed modeling, valuation analysis, and assessment of key performance drivers and risks.
- Lead and support critical workstreams throughout the deal process, coordinating external advisors, synthesizing diligence results, and contributing to investment committee materials.
- Assist in structuring transactions, negotiating terms, and supporting closing and post‑close integration efforts.
- Partner with portfolio company leadership teams to track performance and help advance strategic and operational initiatives, including organic growth and M&A activity.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking or private / growth equity at a top‑tier firm.Strong financial modeling ability and analytical judgment, with the ability to assess complex businesses with varying levels of data quality and maturity.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting directly with senior executives and founders.Team‑oriented mindset with humility, integrity, and a strong work ethic.Undergraduate degree and / or MBA from a leading academic institution.#J-18808-Ljbffr
