Job Details – Artesia, NM Healthcare Opportunity

Location : Artesia, New Mexico 88210

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (Start : 11 / 14 / 2025 – End : 2 / 13 / 2026)

Setting : Acute Care – Med / Surg Unit (26 beds)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts, weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1800 - $1930

Charting System : CPSI electronic medical records

Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs

Orientation : 1-2 days with preceptor, plus online modules (up to 20 hours; up to 6 hours billable)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 3 years of recent Med / Surg-Telemetry nursing experience

PCU / Stepdown nursing experience preferred

Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry (Mindray cardiac monitors)

Experience with titrating IV drips (insulin, amiodarone, levofed)

Ability to complete required online modules prior to start

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care to Med / Surg and PCU patients in an acute care hospital setting

Monitor and interpret telemetry; titrate IV drips as needed

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurse aides and respiratory therapists

Document patient care using CPSI electronic charting system

Assist with patient ADLs, intake / output, transfers, and transport

Maintain scheduling flexibility to support unit needs

Comply with hospital policies and dress code standards
