ABOUT THE ROLE
The Field Manager will serve as the main point of contact for Coach Across America (CAA) AmeriCorps Coaches (Coaches) and partner sites, with a focus on the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and the CAA partnership. The Field Manager is responsible for ensuring that Coaches and partnering organizations are properly supported and experience high-quality services and outcomes. This position will be based in Los Angeles and will work closely with the Los Angeles Managing Director to meet programmatic and funding compliance requirements.

Manage, mentor, motivate, and support Coaches, with a particular emphasis on the Dodgers Dreamteam Field Champion program.Manage Coach recruiting, onboarding, and exiting process in partnership with the National Operations team to include interviewing prospective coaches, running compliance checks, and processing all onboarding and exiting paperwork.Participate in delivering program orientation to coaches and program sites at the beginning of the program service year.Coordinate program activities for Coaches and other stakeholders, i.e., Service Days, Coach professional development, socials, etc.Assist with organizing and facilitating Coach trainings, special events, and other program initiatives.Act as point of contact for Coaches and designated program sites.Monitor compliance of Coaches and program sites to ensure consistency with criteria established by funding sources, the CAA mission, and the CAA Coach program.Maintain physical and electronic records of Coaches and program sites at the office and in the organizations internal database.Review applications from program sites requesting to host Coaches and prepare recommendations to the National Operations team for allocating Coach placements.Support all aspects of program monitoring and evaluation, including data collection, tracking, coding, and reporting.Coordinate with Coaches to assemble and generate photos, videos, and stories for sharing on social media.Create a monthly newsletter, including organizing, formatting, and editing photo, video, and story content to share about our work with partners, supporters, and coaches.Travel across Los Angeles County to partner sites and programming events to conduct Coach support visits and participate in Dodgers Dreamteam programming, typically occurring during evenings and weekends. This time will be flexed from regular hours during the work week (M-Th 8am-4pm, F 8am-12pm). There may be additional travel requirements on an as-needed basis, but no more than 10% of your work time.Conduct other duties as determined by the manager.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in nonprofit administration, operations, youth program coordination, or recreation administration.A minimum of two years of experience in a nonprofit or similar organization is preferred.Must be able to work on a team, but also be self-motivated; experience working with remote teams preferred.Two to three years of experience working with underserved youth is preferred.Understanding and interest in both theory and practice of sports-based youth development.Experience coaching baseball and / or softball preferred. Knowledge of baseball and / or softball required.Experience in developing collaborative partnerships among various stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Previous use of Canva or other graphic design / social media marketing platforms preferred.Ability to multitask effectively and work on multiple projects at once.Computer literacy and well-developed technology skills.Strong connection with the youth sports community is preferred.Experience working with AmeriCorps national service federal and / or state grants preferred, but not required.COMPENSATION
