Medical Collector

A company is looking for a Medical Collector (H) to manage billing and collections for accounts involving legal representation.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between law firms, third party records retrieval companies, patient advocates, and internal departments for legal representation accounts

Process subpoenas and 766 requests for billing records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and generating itemized bills

Negotiate settlements and manage Epic Workqueues for assigned accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of issues

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health insurance billing processes

Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical records / billing systems

Ability to meet or exceed performance metrics in a compliance-driven environment
