Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders.
Educational Coordinator Overview
The Educational Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Educational Services in the day-to-day operation of the classroom educational services and implementation and monitoring of all behavioral programming. The Educational Coordinator assures appropriate staffing resources (e.g., number of staff, training and supervisor of staff) to ensure the delivery of each student’s Individual Education Program (IEP). The Ed Coord assures implementation of the curriculum in conjunction with Lead Special Education Teachers, under the supervision of the Director of Educational Services. The Ed Coord works to ensure that the behavioral programs developed are appropriate to the ages and populations served. In addition, the Educational Coordinator assists the Director of Educational Services to ensure that all requirements are met for acquiring and maintaining all program applicable licenses, certifications and accreditations.
