Overview

With moderate supervision, the Retail Keyholder assists the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities. This position provides outstanding guest service within a sales culture that uses GameStop's Circle of Life buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model. The role ensures products are easily accessible and purchasable, helps boost sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, maintains a clean and organized shopping environment, and fosters guest loyalty and repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service : greet guests promptly, respond to questions / concerns courteously, assist with video game needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items, apply selling behaviors, and thank guests for choosing GameStop. Prioritize guests over tasks and circulate throughout the store.
• Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system, ensuring top-notch service.
• Address guest questions in person or on the phone; answer calls promptly and professionally to ensure top guest service.
• Promote GameStop benefits such as new title reservations and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
• Keep store areas, including restrooms, clean, organized, and merchandised according to guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order.
• Complete Omni-Channel orders daily.
• Safeguard assets through inventory control and loss prevention; participate in scam awareness and safety practices; assist with bank deposits as required.
• Conduct store inventory counts, stock / restock merchandise, and move products from stock to selling floor; ensure representation and organization of products.
• Support store management in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and perform required administrative tasks.
• Count and reconcile daily POS totals; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits following guidelines.
• Check shipments for discrepancies and report issues to management as needed.
• Process defectives / recalls and stock pulls, ensuring correct labeling and packing lists.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
• Follow opening and closing procedures and provide timely feedback on associate performance.
