Physician – Addiction Medicine- Assoc Med Dir

MaineHealth Addiction Medicine - Farmington , a department of Franklin Memorial Hospital, is seeking a full time BC / BE Addiction Medicine Physician  to provide care at our office based in Farmington, Maine.

The successful candidate will join our dynamic team of providers as a primary care-based addiction medicine specialist to support current addiction medicine offerings while expanding the complexity and breadth of addiction issues managed locally. In addition will have the opportunity to participate in several educational opportunities including site lead for rural tract within MaineHealth’s addiction medicine fellowship, medical students, and Family Medicine residents.

Associate Medical Director Responsibilities : (0.1 FTE)

• Provide education and training to support primary care physicians managing addiction issues
• Lead development or adjustment of clinical and operational workflows for patients with addiction issues
• Identify and lead opportunities for innovation in caring for patients with addiction issues
• Serve as clinical resource for primary care providers to ask specific questions as needed basis
• Liaison with other clinical services on addiction medicine issues

Clinical – Addiction Medicine (0.85 FTE)

Educational – Addiction Medicine (0.05 FTE)
