Litigation Legal Assistant-Hybrid
A litigation-focused law office is seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to support its attorney team. This role includes preparing and filing legal documents, managing case calendars, organizing electronic files, and providing strong administrative support throughout the lifecycle of litigation matters. Overtime may occasionally be required during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
Perform electronic court filings in federal, state, and appellate courts.
Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules.
Organize, open, and close client files; ensure proper electronic storage.
Provide general administrative support including correspondence, expense tracking, and travel arrangements.
Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
Assist with daily office functions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of civil litigation experience in a law firm.
Strong background in labor and employment litigation preferred.
Excellent document production, transcription, and proofreading skills.
Proficiency with legal filing systems and electronic court procedures.
Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Skilled in Microsoft Office and related legal software.
Clear and professional communication across all formats.
