Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Georgia Department of - DBHDD\n?? ? ? ? 7 hours ago Post Date\n\nAny given position will close when we determine an adequate candidate pool has been received.\n\nLocation : Jail Restoration Center (JRC), Eastman, GA (Dodge County)\n\nShift : 7pm-7am\n\nJob Summary : \nWe are seeking a full time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Jail-Based Competency Restoration Program which is based onsite at Dodge County, Georgia.\nJob Description : \n
• Provides general direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals.\n
• Care includes providing medical treatments and administering medications. May supervise and / or direct the work of other disciplines.\n
• Administers prescribed medications and provides appropriate documentation. Handles individuals' requests as they are received.\n
• Helps individuals with activities of daily living. Measures and documents individuals' vital signs. Observes individuals, charting and reporting changes in individuals' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.\n
• Provides basic care and treatments for the individuals. Records food and fluid intake and output as deemed appropriate.\n

• Additional Information - Selected applicant must meet the following standards : \n\n1. Must pass a pre-employment background check (which includes criminal records check, driver's history, and verification of work history) and a post-hire federal background investigation.\n\n2. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and will be placed in the pool for the State Random Drug Testing Program.\n\n3. Eligible to work in the U.S.\n\n4. Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.\n
• High School and College Degrees Must Be From an Accredited Institution
• \n\nWe are a Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program qualified employee\n\nHigh School diploma / GED and completion of a LPN Program through an approved Georgia Nursing Board; or Vocational / Technical degree from an accredited college and current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse and six months of nursing experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Licensed Practical Nurse 1 (HCT030) or position equivalent.\nAdditional Information\n
