Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse coordinates nursing care for the patient; participates in patient / family education and provides leadership by coordinating patient care and working collaboratively with ancillary staff and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Notification of any such condition and / or reaction will follow the established chain of command. Participates in hospital performance improvement activities to improve patient outcomes. Performs other duties as required, including the unit specific duties as identified on the Criteria Based Performance Appraisal, and by the Nurse Manager / Director. Promotes an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork in all settings and circumstances. Shares acquired knowledge and skills with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
