KyCAD is seeking an IT Administrator to support all technology needs across the campus of the Kentucky College of Art and Design. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance day-to-day troubleshooting with long-term systems management. The IT Administrator will serve as the primary point of contact for all faculty, staff, and student hardware and software needs, ensuring smooth operations and reliable access to technology resources.

Part II – Responsibilities

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting
• Provide end-user support for faculty, staff, and students across all hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals) and software.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, networking, and connectivity.
• Maintain inventory of devices and ensure timely repairs and replacements.
• Systems Administration
• Manage the Microsoft 365 (M365) environment, including user accounts, permissions, email, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Oversee system updates, backups, and security protocols.
• Implement and monitor endpoint protection and security best practices.
• IT Operations & Planning
• Coordinate hardware / software deployment and upgrades.
• Maintain documentation of IT policies, procedures, and support guides.
• Collaborate with other departments and leadership on technology planning to align with organizational needs and budgets.
• Training & Communication
• Provide training and guidance to faculty, staff, and students on effective use of technology resources.
• Communicate technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform the work as outlined in the position description and responsibilities sections above.

This position requires the ability to lift 30lbs (approx.) and must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
