In this rewarding role, you will provide essential direct patient care and support in the occupational health specialty. Work under the expert supervision of a nurse practitioner or physician to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

Deliver direct patient care, assessing and evaluating injured workers while coordinating treatment plans in consultation with providers.
Stay informed about workers' compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Conduct pre-employment physicals and DOT evaluations, documenting findings and reporting relevant issues to providers.
Administer DOT and non-DOT breath alcohol testing and urine drug screening, maintaining certifications in federal regulations.
Perform mandatory audiometric and spirometry testing according to OSHA standards, ensuring ongoing proficiency.
Utilize critical thinking skills during phone triage, effectively managing patient inquiries and involving providers as needed.
Communicate results and treatment plans to patients, employers, insurance carriers, and other medical providers.
Manage appointments and coordinate care for workers' compensation injuries, prioritizing follow-up visits and testing.
Conduct nursing assessments for new employees, administering required immunizations and tests.
Assist providers with procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
Ensure a safe and compliant patient environment by adhering to protocols and participating in safety rounds.
Stay updated on professional practice standards and ongoing education.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support team goals.
Requirements :
Graduate from an LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing.
Minimum of one year of experience as an LPN, or successful completion of a recognized nurse residency program.
Certifications :
Currently licensed to practice as an LPN in South Carolina.
DOT UDS Certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire) is preferred.
DOT BAT Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of hire) is preferred.
Spirometry and Audiometric Certification (to be obtained within 18 months of hire) is preferred.
