Arizona Licensed Underwriting Consultant

A company is looking for a Consultant, Contract Underwriting - E&S / Specialty (Contract+).

Key Responsibilities :

Research and develop new classes of business, assessing market trends and creating forms and rates

Review and analyze individual risks or programs to determine acceptability and establish appropriate terms and conditions

Achieve production and loss ratio goals through effective territory management and marketing strategies

Required Qualifications :

Undergraduate studies and completion of general insurance courses such as CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CPIW, CWIS, or ASLI preferred

Eight years of underwriting experience, particularly with large or complex programs in excess & surplus lines

Ability to analyze complex insurance risks and determine policy acceptability

Experience with facultative reinsurance and maintaining relationships with reinsurers

Proven ability to mentor and train underwriting staff
