Summary of Duties :

As the Payroll Clerk at Advantage SCI, you will report to the Sr. Staff Accountant. You will processes employee payments; collects and checks timekeeping data; calculates wages; prepares paychecks or direct deposits; manages payroll records and deductions. The selected candidate must be dependable and work a standard 40-hour work at the office Monday through Friday. This role requires trustworthiness, strong communication skills, and experience with software like Excel, ADP, and preferably Microsoft Business Central.

Duties include, but are not limited to :

• Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, then enter, maintain, and / or process information in the payroll system; information may include rates of pay, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other employee information.
• Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other deductions.
• Payroll Calculation and Processing includes computing wages, deductions (taxes, benefits, etc.), and preparing paychecks or direct deposit information.
• Ensure proper pay adjustments related to employee leave of absences take place as part of payroll.
• Record Keeping includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, accurate information on pay, deductions, exemptions, and changes in employment status; reviews timecards to ensure accuracy, resolving discrepancies, as needed.
• Manages end-to-end payroll process, reconciliations, and ensures payroll deadlines are met.
• Reconciles benefits; investigates and resolves discrepancies to include accuracy of invoices, deductions and 401k files.
• Meets tax compliance by preparing and submitting tax forms (e.g., W-2s, 1095s, 1099s) and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws
• Addresses employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, providing information on paychecks, deductions, and other related issues.
• Prepares reports summarizing payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and leave balances.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
