The AES Clean Energy Operations team is looking for a Solar Apprentice with the desire to learn and grow in the Solar Technician craft. This individual would play a pivotal role in ensuring that AES Clean Energy operates the portfolio to standards that exceed industry best-practice. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have the ability to take direct instructions from Senior Technicians. As AES Clean Energy grows to become one of the leading IPPs in the industry, this role will provide an unparalleled opportunity for professional growth.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Performs technical work as assigned in the solar field and assists in the operations and maintenance of the power plant.
• Assists Solar Technicians I, & II in performing maintenance.
• Willingness to be trained to obtain qualifications to advance in the Solar Technician program.
• Performs other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facility.
• Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements.
• Performs work in work crews, then eventually independently.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $28.50 and $34.21 / Hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
